Design

A design consists of the appearance of an industrial or handicraft object or part thereof, characterized by its lines, contours, colors, shape, texture, materials, or combination of these elements. Its protection is subordinate to its Novelty and its Individual character and implies that it is not confused with the utilitarian function of the object. It is traditionally a national industrial property title, which implies an application in each country where protection is sought.
