Mission invention
Definition : Mission invention
The mission invention differs from the invention out-of-the-mission in that it is realized by the employee by virtue of a mission that results either from the employment contract, which then includes a general inventive mission corresponding to the employee's actual duties, or from a special inventive mission resulting from studies and research explicitly entrusted to the employee. The right to the Patent on this invention will then be automatically attributed to the employer while requiring him to pay an additional remuneration.
A lawyer specializing in employee inventions may be involved to assist either the employer or the inventor.
